Cultural Bodywork Class Description


Beginners:
5-day

In each class you are taught a complete massage bodywork system.

-     - Specific joint and stretch exercises to warm and open up the body

-     -  Step by step introduction into the “flight of the navigator” – the flowing movement which is the foundation for       the power, balance and co- ordination for the body

-     - Understanding the “flight of the navigator” as the philosophy and principal of your self-progression and                  bodywork.

-     - Synchronization and co-ordination of the movement and breath

-     - Intensive spirit mind and body training during the “flight of the Navigator”  - every day in the minimum of one      hour.

-     - Introduction into the holistic bodywork of the Pacific island cultures

-     - Introduction of sheet principles i.e. maintaining with reverence and respect the covering of the body while              preforming the massage

-     - Learning to integrate the “flight of the Navigator “ with the table technique

-     - Learning of a complete massage sequence, back and front of the body

-     - Detailed instruction on how to apply the fore arm strokes to the body

-     - Performing a complete treatment in a given timing 1 to 1 ½ hours on the last day

-     - Food awareness

-     - Recommendations on setting up a practice, treatments and cliental 

-     - Being supported through out the class and in your personal process
                                                               

Immersement   9 days 

The purpose of this class is to take you deeper into the “flight of the Navigator”, massage bodywork system and to give you another complete form of treatment that is performed on the floor.

-     - Specific joint and stretch exercises to warm and open up the body

-     - Thigh and calf walking this is done with the feet.

-     - Personal and group in-tunement into the movement of the “flight of the Navigator” and progressing on to                movement number two

-      - A complete floor work treatment using the knees and feet

-      - Refreshing and progressing in the Bodywork table treatment

-      - Learning a body mapping system through applying the strokes of the bodywork in a more detailed precise               manner.

-      - Going deeper into the application of the sheet work

-      - Bringing about a clearer understanding how the muscles connect and flow together.

-      - Understanding the families of the body – the connection between the muscles and the organs, a simplistic form     of anatomy

-      - Question answers and suggestions concerning treatments and clients

-      - Performing a complete treatment in a given timing 1 to 1 ½ hours on the last day

-      - Being supported through out the class and in your personal process


Progressional 9 day 

To impart the tools that will help you vary your treatments deepending on the clients needs

 - Flight of the Navigator

-      - Intunement into movement number one and two

-      - An introduction into movement number three

-      - A deeper understanding of the principles of the “Flight of the Navigator”

  - Back walking

-      -  Stretching in pairs

-      - Revision and extension into the floor work.

-      - Supportive information on when and how to use this floor treatment

 - Joint work: a complete system of working with the joints of the body and muscle stretching this can be applied      on the table and the floor.

 - Supportive information on when and how to apply this work

 - Table work

-     -  Refreshing and progressing in the Bodywork table treatment

-      - New movements on the back and front side of the body – new tools for the practitioner to use as they feel the         need of the client.

-      - Learning to detail different parts of the body

-      - Integration of joint and table work

General

-      - Integration of joint and floor work

-      - Understanding the families of the body – the connection between the muscles and the organs, a simplistic form     of anatomy

-      - Understanding the 3 on 3 vibrational timing and how to apply this understanding to a treatment.

-      - Question answers and suggestions concerning treatments and clients

-      - Performing a complete treatment in a given timing 1 to 1 ½ hours on the last day

-      - Being supported through out the class and in your personal process
