Cultural Bodywork

Cultural Bodywork is a

complete Massage and Bodywork

system based on Hawaiian Kahuna

teachings with Maori and

Aboriginal influences.

The bodywork is dynamic, connected and fluid, utilising a body-mapping system that reconnects muscle forms and energy flow-lines.

We use an ancient training form the Flight of the Navigator” or “flying” to help you to bring a powerful, grounded presence to your work.

The “flying” movement develops a foundation of strength, balance and co-ordination within your body and is also the basis for all movement and motion during a bodywork session.

The synchronised movements and breathing through the work generates energy in your own body keeping you energised and focussed throughout the treatment.

Spiritually, this healing art encourages harmony between Body, Mind and Spirit and develops self-trust and the intuitive faculty.

The Pacific cultures have taken thousands of years developing their own individual and unique ways of healing. We have added to this body of knowledge, blending centuries old wisdom and modern teachings to create another way for you to move forward – Cultural Bodywork.

So Let’s Move Forward!

The Training

Training is by a 9-day residential course, which is a complete journey in holistic personal development, with good food and shared meals, physical training and detailed bodywork instruction. The journey becomes a joyful yet powerful cleansing  and initiation into deeper levels of the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual Self.

We are learning to live and work from a place of Wholeness.

Practitioners from many fields including trainees from other similar systems have undergone this training. The training is detailed and thorough and gives deep insight into the workings and applications of Kahuna body healing.

By the time you have completed your training you will be able to complete a 1½ hour treatment.

During the Training you will receive:

·        Quality professional training from a dedicated teacher and facilitator. Stormie draws from the essence of her Maori heritage and Hawaiian lineage to bring insightful teachings that are rich and vibrant with knowing.

·        A complete practitioner level massage and bodywork system – Hawaiian Kahuna and Pacific Islander healing techniques.

·        A complete floorwork routine using the knees and feet. This muscle release technique is very deep work and a powerful complement to the table-work.

·        Non-verbal teaching methodology for maximum retention and integration of techniques.

·        Training in professional sheetwork and conduct – respect and reverence for the Body - being.

·        Basic applied geomancy.

·        An initiation into a greater depth of self awareness and development as a whole being.

Clearer, lighter, stronger - purity of mind, body and heart

The Kahuna Way

Now, not tomorrow

Now, not later

No discussion, just do it

You need to be logical sometimes,

and brave others

Everything is interconnected,

everything is together,

they are placed together connected

This is Kahuna

Present, all is connected,

To understand Kahuna you must

carry it into every moment

of your life.

Once everything that feeds you is

connected, then you are in a flow.

The training and bodywork in itself is limitless depending on your desire and readiness to progress forward.”

“It is my task and love to teach this unique system of healing.”

The training is designed to make people aware of the function of the Body and to re-educate the Mind through Spirit so that we will once again be in harmony and service of ourselves, each other and the Mother Earth.”
